Rigbooks software makes it easy to see how your trucking business is performing over time. The Profit and Loss Report allows you to see your revenue sources as a total revenue, a percentage of revenue, and cents per mile. Your expenses are categorized and displayed as a total cost, cost as a percentage of revenue, and cents per mile for each category. Finally, your income before taxes is displayed at the bottom. This report allows you to spot trouble areas and determine profit at a glance.
You can see your revenue broken into two categories: Trip Revenue and Other Revenue. Trip Revenue comes from the actual charges for hauling a load. Other Revenue is made up of fees charged for a load, such as: fuel surcharge, detention pay, stop off and more.
Your Expenses will be broken out based on the Expense Categories you selected. Each category will have a total cost, cost in cents per mile, and cost as a percent of revenue.
Your profit before taxes is displayed at the bottom of the report. It is the difference between total Revenue and Total Expenses. It is displayed as a total, cents per mile, and percent of revenue.
